Our Posies
Posies are bouquets but with short stems. The flowers most often used in these posies are bouvardia, freesias, sweet peas, mini roses, mini gerberas, cornflowers, daisies. Posies can also be made using native flowers such as Leucadendrons, flannel flower, gum, gum nut varieties. Other short stemmed flowers and succulents can also be used, all based on season and availability. On receipt of a posy, the recipient should re-cut the stems and place into a clean vase with clean cold water. Posies are suitable for all occasions if the customer has either a budget or simply does not want to send anything overstated.

Our Bouquets
Bouquets or “bunches” are usually made up of longer stemmed flowers such as lilies, roses, hybrid delphinium, orchids, celosia, anthiriums and most natives and tropical flowers. These are presented in either round shape or sheaf shape for those special presentation occasions. On receipt of a bouquet, the recipient should re-cut the stems and place into a clean vase with clean cold water. Bouquets are suitable for all occasions.

Our Arrangements
An arrangement of flowers means that the flowers are already “arranged” either in a vase or ceramic pot. This means that the recipient need not worry about arranging the flowers themselves. There are no strict rules to what flowers should be included, although we prefer to use longer lasting flowers and stronger stemmed flowers, especially in the ceramic pots mainly due to a longer life of the arrangement. On receipt of a vase arrangement, the recipient need only change the water in the vase, preferably daily and re-cut the stems every 2 days. With an arrangment in a ceramic vase, the recipient need only pour a large glass of water into the center of the arrangement every day. Arrangements are suitable for all occasions but especially for hospitals due to lack of containers to place posies and bouquets into. They are also suitable for sympathy occasions when wanting to send to the bereaved family’s home.

Our Funeral Tributes
Funeral tributes are truly an individual choice. Bouquets and posies are suitable or the customer may choose to send something more formal. We do wreaths in all colours and styles – whether pretty and floral, native, tropical, masculine or simply white and classic. You can order a sheath of flowers. This is usually a “lie down flat” arranged bouquet either just wrapped or in oasis (green wet foam) open with no cellophane. Our casket covers are also made to order in any design or floral choice possible. Maybe the deceased loved roses or the English garden look, or maybe a traditional native look for that special male. The floral tributes go to the funeral and not to the home.

Our Gourmet Treats
We offer either gourment or fruit arrangements for all occasions. Whether the customer wants to send something to a hospital or just something different for that “special occasion”. We offer only the freshest fruit and special gourmet treats, such as savoury/sweet biscuits, cheeses, pates, fruit pastes, chocolates, nuts, etc. The customer can also include a bottle of wine, beer or sparkling wine. Almost anything is possible!

Caring for Flowers
Bouquets
- Ensure your vase is clean by adding one part bleach to the rest clean water. Let sit of 10 mins. Rinse well.
- Fill with clean cold water.

Water well daily into the centre of the arrangement. One large glass daily would suit.
Please note:

When in an air-conditioned environment, please ensure flowers are well watered to avoid dehydration.
